Overview

The Sound Devices MixPre-6 II is a lightweight audio recorder and mixer with integrated 32-Bit USB audio streaming, which provides the unique ability to record audio to an SD card while simultaneously streaming multiple channels of audio via USB. It is equipped with high-performance, ultra-low-noise, Class-A mic preamps that feature a -130dBV noise floor, analog limiters, and 32-bit A-to-D converters to ensure the highest quality recordings. It is relatively small and has a touchscreen for simple and intuitive operation. It also includes Bluetooth for easy connection, control, and metering via the Sound Devices Wingman app on iOS or Android.

Designed with both novice and experienced users in mind, the MixPre-6 supports advanced mixing capabilities such as access to multi-channel recording, advanced settings for metering, routing, Timecode, channel phase invert, delay, headphone presets, and more. The MixPre-6 II has a retractable 1/4"-20 mount for solid, low-profile tripod or camera mounting. Internal LTC timecode generation and output provides perfect synchronization of sound and video. For added convenience, there are multiple powering options: from an AA battery tray (batteries not included), via a laptop with USB Type-C or USB Type-A, or with the included AC adapter.
