4K Shooting and Speed

Record in 4K for up 15 minutes or get up to 50 still frames a second. Combine these powers by pulling stunning 8MP photos from 4K footage with 4K Photo Mode so that you don't miss a single moment of the action.

Sensor and Processor

Though only 1" large, this sensor is extremely sensitive and can support ISOs up to 25600. Featuring Low Light AF, it is possible to focus in the dark and to use AF even on the stars thanks to a much more accurate calculation of contrast values in a smaller AF zone. The camera overall delivers bright, color-accurate photos with very few artifacts. This is supported by a bright viewfinder and convenient touch LCD screen. The Venus Engine processor integrates superior noise reduction for clean footage even at 4K. High Speed Mode allows slow-motion playback at 120 FPS. This sensor also supports Panasonic's Depth from Defocus AF technology, which can determine the distance between subjects inside a frame to more quickly ensure proper focusing on the subject you're tracking. Lens and Build

Exhibiting incredible flexibility with up to 20x zoom, the Panasonic ZS100 sports a 25-250mm Leica lens with a macro mode that allows focusing as close as 2". Telephoto capture is helped by built-in image stabilization. A focus ring is maintained on the lens for manual focusing and a variety of other manual controls and camera settings are available so that you can direct exactly how you want your images to look. Compose, focus, review, and change settings intuitively with the touchscreen LCD as well.
