Overview

The GoPro HERO6 Black improves on the GoPro HERO5 Black with an optimized GP1 processor that brings higher frames rates in 4K, 2.7K, and 1080p HD. Image stabilization has also been improved. It maintains the same 12MP stills shooting as the HERO5 as well as form factor so that you can use HERO5 and HERO6 accessories interchangeably. The HERO6 maintains built-in WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS as well as voice control so that you can control the camera with simple voice commands like "start/stop", "photo burst", and more. SuperView, Wide, and Linear modes correct lens barrel distortion and changes your field of view for nearly all resolution settings while audio draws from 3 microphones and picks up from the one with the least amount of distortion (and switches when needed) for continuous, clean sound. For still shooters, the HERO6 offers a raw format (.GPR file) as well as a Wide Dynamic Range mode to bridge the gap between JPG and raw. Time Lapse mode is maintained from previous models. The HERO6 is wrapped in GoPro's "The Frame", which provides mounting options and a nice layer of protection for the camera but is not at all required for underwater use this camera natively is waterproof up to 33'. The HERO6 is ideal for adventure shooters, first-person-perspective footage, and travel.
