Core SWX NP-FZ100/NP-FW50 Power Kit for Sony Rental

Overview

The Core SWX NP-FZ100/NP-FW50 Power Kit for Sony consists of a Powerbase Edge 49Wh V-mount battery, NP-FZ100/NP-FW50 dummy battery adapters to connect to it, and a battery charger. Together, you can use the Powerbase Edge battery to power your items that normally only accept either NP-FZ100 or NP-FW50 batteries. The battery is equipped with a SmartTap output, which is a normal D-Tap connection with extra contacts to communicate battery data to select cameras. You can power other devices off this battery using a D-Tap cable of your choice (note that this kit only comes with one NP-FZ100 and one NP-FW50 dummy cable). The Powerbase Edge has an LCD on the side to inform you of runtime and includes a button-activated backlight. A small quick release adapter allows you to attach cheese plates and other support items securely to the middle of the battery and there is a 1/4-20" thread point for mounting tripods and rigs. The included D-Tap charger offers a quick-charging 1.5A and can charge other broadcast-style batteries that have D-Tap charging ports. Like the battery, the charger has an Lcd indicator.

The Core SWX NP-FZ100/NP-FW50 Power Kit for Sony was created with the Sony a7/a9-series cameras in mind, which the Powerbase Edge battery will run for approximately 8.25 hours. It's also versatile enough to power nearly any device that accepts D-Tap or NP-FZ100/NP-FW50 batteries.
